I did this sketch many years ago.  I like how I did the hand and the overall work in general. Not perfect but I think I did this very well.  Hair is very hard to draw.

The top giraffe is a new giraffe I started to work on a few weekends ago.  Comparing it to my giraffe I did in high school (bottom giraffe) it seems a bit cartoonish.  I really have lost a lot of practice.  I'll have to keep working on this.

This sketch work I did a long time ago as well.  I had a really tough time with the hair and top details and my facial angle is a bit off.  I'll post another pose of the same model in another post.

I'm not sure what the model is sitting on in this sketch but I do remember this pose was awkward for me to draw.  I did this many years ago. Overall I am pleased with the proportions considering how hard I found this to sketch.

This is another nude male sketch.  I can't really remember if I used pastels but I think that is what I used.  Again I see a disproportionateness to his body but I do like the way I did his shoulders and his thigh, knee, and calf.

This one was done way back when I did the the one in my last post.  I was unhappy with the disproportionate look it has but after looking at some many styles of work I think it's just the angle and my focus that comes out in this one.

I made this little Halloween project several years ago and then mailed it to my mom ... she probably still has it even it if it is falling apart.  Moms... This is actually not my work. I found it frame-worthy because it is my son's art work from the 3rd grade. I loved the colors and his imaginative use of tools and numbers.  My favorite is the little yellow ruler on the top left.  I can just see the concentration on his little face as he drew in each small centimeter line and numbered the inches. I have this app on my iPhone called Eastern Drawing.  It's cool. It basically let's you doodle with your fingers. It has various widths of pen tips like Adobe but the color fades like a paint brush would when it runs out of paint or starts to dry out.  I created this doodle with it. I imagine wind rustling the foliage and warm sunlight filtering through the branches.

I created this work while supporting a computer lab at a college I worked at.  The students did projects in Adobe Photoshop and I would listen and create something similar later. I liked how this turned out.

This assignment I did either in college or high school. Can't really remember but I do remember that we had to select magazine pages that we felt represented different facets of our personality.  At the time I think most of this was quite fitting ... there's a combination of attitude, introspection, expression and uncertainty.  I think it still fits to some degree now. I took these pictures a few weeks ago. It was 5 AM in the morning and the leaves on the end of the stems had a drop of water. I had watered the plant a day or so prior and the water came out to the opening leaves. Very neat.

This is a giraffe I sketched in high school using a regular pencil. I had no idea the variety of pencils and other media there were then but I am quite pleased with how well it turned out.

Just a quick intro post. I created this separate blog to share my art work both digital and created with other media, that I have done over the years.
